Tan Ky is considered the cradle of training young football talents for Nghe An. One of the factors that makes this happen is the love of football of the people here. The clearest evidence is the presence of more than 60 people from Phuong Ky village (Ky Son commune, Tan Ky district) at twofinaland closing ceremony on June 16.

“Our village has player Nguyen Van Dung participating in the tournament, it is truly an honor and pride for the village. In the previous competition days, many people went by motorbike or bus to Vinh to watch Dung play. But today, in the final match, more than 60 villagers agreed to rent 3 cars to go to the stadium to cheer for Dung” - Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Nhung (teacher at Tan Huong Primary School) shared.

It is known that, to be on time for the match, the village's 3 buses had to depart at 4am and because they were not familiar with the road, they had to circle the city gate area 3 times before finding the stadium. After the match, bursting with joy of victory, this special "troop" decided to stay until the evening to attend the closing ceremony and witness the Tan Ky Children's Team receiving the Championship Cup. In addition, many people traveled by motorbike to conveniently return home early because of work.

Ms. Nhung added that she herself is also a loyal audience ofYouth and Children Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper CupShe said: “Since I learned about the tournament, every year I ride my motorbike down to watch, even when no one in my family or village participates. This season I missed some matches because I was busy, I watched these matches again on the Facebook Fanpage of Nghe An Newspaper.”

Because he is over 70 years old and cannot ride a motorbike, Mr. Cao Van Quy - a "village elder" of Phuong Ky, came down to watch every day of this year's season with his 5-year-old grandson by bus.

“My grandfather and I took the bus at around 5am, got off at the bus stop at the beginning of Dao Tan Street and walked to the stadium. Normally, I would go home the same day after watching the game. But yesterday, after the semi-final match and knowing that Tan Ky was in the final, I decided to rent a hotel to stay so that I could arrive early tomorrow,” Mr. Quy confided.

"Whichever team wins, I'm happy!"

The audience attending the children’s final was very large. They were not only different in hometown but also in age, job, personality… Among them, the most impressive faces were probably the grandfathers and grandmothers with white hair. Perhaps because of what they had been through, these old people cheered with a gentle and peaceful spirit.

At the beginning of the first half, when neither team had scored a goal, Mr. Tran Duy Lien - the grandfather of player Nguyen Duy Hieu (Tan Ky Team) calmly said: "This is the first time I have come here and cheered for this tournament. After the first half, I saw that both teams played very well, whichever team won deserved to win. TeamTan KyFor a remote area to win the championship is a great effort and something to be proud of. But if Nhi Dong Dien Chau wins, I will also feel happy. I am truly grateful to the organizers for creating such a wonderful playground."
