Bach Mai Hospital was unblocked, contract with Truong Sinh Company terminated

At 6am on April 11, the Ministry of Health recorded no new cases of nCoV infection, 114 people are being treated, 144 people have recovered. Thus, in the past 24 hours, only 1 new case was recorded. The total number of infections is 258.

The number of infected cases includes 159 people returning from abroad, accounting for 61.6%; 99 people are secondary infections in the country. Currently, 13 cases have tested negative for nCoV once, 12 cases have tested negative twice. The total number of people in close contact and entering from epidemic areas who are being quarantined is more than 72,000. Of which, nearly 1,200 people are quarantined at hospitals. Nearly 18,000 people are quarantined at other facilities. Nearly 54,000 people are quarantined at home or at their place of residence.

In another development, Bach Mai Hospital has unilaterally terminated its contract with Truong Sinh Company and will bid to find a service provider. This is a company whose owner is from Dien Chau district, Nghe An.

"Most of the positive cases came from Truong Sinh Company, which supplies food to the hospital. Immediately after that, we closed the canteen area and asked another company to provide logistics," said Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Director of Bach Mai Hospital.

The new unit initially encountered many problems in providing and ensuring the quantity and quality of meals. However, the two sides later found a way to overcome this problem to ensure nutrition and logistics for the hospital's medical staff.

Regarding the issue of providing hot water, the hospital has installed 100 automatic water dispensers that can both filter and boil water, providing about 3,500 liters of water per day. In the near future, the hospital will install 100 more machines to serve the needs of the people for free.

Bach Mai Hospital has been quarantined since March 28 after two medical staff and patients were found to be infected with nCoV. During the quarantine period, a series of positive cases related to the hospital and 27 employees of Truong Sinh Company - the unit providing food to the hospital - were infected with nCoV.
