After a long period of preparation, purchasing machinery, sending staff for training at Bach Mai Hospital, installing water systems... with technical support from the Vietnam Artificial Kidney and Dialysis Company, the patient on the morning of January 18th was able to undergo dialysis safely and with good quality.
Mr. Le Viet Ch., 52 years old, residing in Block 11, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City, commented that compared to the hospitals where he had dialysis before, the machine here filters more smoothly, and he did not feel headaches, chest pain or shortness of breath during the filtration process like some other places he had experienced.
Doctor Nguyen Huu Toan - Head of the Department of Emergency Resuscitation - Artificial Kidney, said that because the machine is good and new, the filtration process is guaranteed to be correct, so throughout the blood filtration process, the patient's maximum and minimum blood pressure is kept stable, the amount of waste accumulated in the blood due to kidney failure is quickly separated by the filter. Post-dialysis tests such as: urea, creatinine, electrolytes... are all up to standard.
