Step 2:Create very small and smooth incisions with the modern Visumax machine. The incision is only 2mm, 1/10 smaller than surgical methods using corneal flaps.

Step 3:Tissue core extraction. The doctor uses a specialized microsurgical instrument to extract the separated tissue core from the eye through the incision. Before the surgery, the patient is given local anesthesia so the surgery is very gentle and painless. The total surgery time is about 10-15 minutes. After the surgery, the patient only feels mild discomfort for 4-6 hours.
