Prosecuted for bringing 'nude' photos of love rival to show around the village

NOn October 6, information from Phu Vang District Police (Thua Thien - Hue) said that this agency has just initiated a case and prosecuted Ms. Le Thi D (born in 1968, residing in Phu Dien Commune, Phu Vang District) for the act of humiliating others.

According to the case file, Ms. D's husband, Mr. Nguyen Van H (born in 1969), had an extramarital affair with Ms. Nguyen Thi L (born in 1968), a married woman with children in the same village, but Ms. D did not know. In June 2017, Mr. H and Ms. L arranged to meet at a motel in Phu Thuong commune, Phu Vang district.

Here, after having sex, Mr. H used his cell phone to take pictures of Ms. L naked on the bed. Because Mr. H's phone shared the same iCloud account as his daughter's phone, the daughter saw the pictures and discovered her father was having an affair.

After that, Mr. H's daughter told her mother about the incident. Upon hearing the news, Mrs. D asked her daughter to send her nude photos of Mrs. L and then took these photos to the village and market to show to everyone in order to humiliate her love rival. In addition, Mrs. D also asked someone else to send these photos to Mrs. L's relatives.

Ms. D's actions caused Ms. L. to have a mental breakdown. Ms. L then reported the incident to the police. At the investigation agency, Ms. D admitted her wrongdoings.

Currently, the police are consolidating the case file to handle Ms. D. according to the provisions of the law.
