The incident of a man being rescued from a Bank of America ATM in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Wednesday (July 12).

“He left his cell phone and security card used to unlock the car outside,” Hooper said.

With no other choice, the male employee tried to seek help by writing down a distress note like “Please help me, I’m stuck here,” and then smuggled it out through the ATM’s cash slot. The young man even wrote down his boss’s phone number on the paper for passersby to contact him.

According to Hooper, some customers who came to withdraw money thought the notes were a joke and didn't pay attention. Luckily, someone finally believed them and called the police.

Police had to break down the door to rescue the poor bank employee. He was trapped inside for 2 hours.

“You’re not going to see this again in your lifetime: An adult stuck in an ATM. It’s crazy,” Richard Olden, a senior manager at the bank, told KRIS TV.
