Provincial Party Secretary: Party committees at all levels focus on performing their tasks well from the beginning of the year

Completed and exceeded 27/27 targets

In 2018, the Provincial Party Committee and Party committees at all levels led and directed to achieve many results in all fields. The province's socio-economic situation continued to be stable and developed, with all sectors and fields having good growth.

Notably, Nghe An has completed 27/27 socio-economic development targets, of which 12 targets exceeded the plan. The total product in the province (GRDP) in 2018 (at 2010 comparative prices) reached 80,971 billion VND, up 8.77% over the same period; GRDP per capita in 2018 reached 38 million VND. Budget revenue in 2018 reached 13,805 billion VND, reaching 108.8% of the estimate and increasing 8.3% compared to 2017.

Nghe An also has 37 more communes meeting 19/19 new rural criteria, bringing the total number of communes meeting new rural standards in the province to 218/431 communes, accounting for 50.58%, 3 district-level units meeting standards and completing new rural construction, 97 villages (hamlets) were recognized as meeting new rural standards according to the province's criteria.

In 2018, the province decided to invest in 114 projects/VND9,119.17 billion; adjusted 8 projects with an increased capital of VND1,279 billion; inspected 106 projects, of which 18 projects were decided to be revoked, with a cumulative total of 151 projects revoked to date; 1,907 newly established enterprises were established, and 519 enterprises registered to resume operations ahead of schedule.

The cultural and social fields continue to achieve many positive results, social security is guaranteed, and people's material and spiritual life is gradually improved. The poverty rate is 5.54%.

National defense, security, social order and safety have been focused on leadership and direction, achieving many outstanding results, contributing significantly to the stability and socio-economic development of the province. Foreign affairs have been strengthened, achieving many positive results.

The Provincial Party Committee and Party Committees at all levels have focused on leading, directing and comprehensively implementing solutions on Party building work in the following areas: Propaganda; Organization and personnel; Inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline; Mass mobilization; Internal affairs and anti-corruption.

Improve administrative discipline, create positive changes

Speaking at the conference, spending a lot of time talking about Party building work, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh assessed that, overall, Party building work has ensured quality, creating solidarity and unanimity within the Party and the political system, improving discipline among Party members and spreading it among cadres, civil servants and public employees; especially consolidating people's trust.

The activities of the People's Councils at all levels have many innovations and positive changes, the role of the People's Councils has been greatly enhanced. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation also closely coordinated with the People's Councils, and in forums at the National Assembly, they were very responsible and made quality contributions. The Fatherland Front and other organizations have also made many efforts and have been well evaluated.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee all worked seriously, in accordance with the program and regulations, demonstrating a high spirit of solidarity and unity in leadership and direction, creating consensus among cadres, party members, and society; spending a lot of time inspecting and working with the grassroots, contacting party members, and working with grassroots party committees. All sudden issues that arose were given attention and directed to be resolved promptly.

Regarding the tasks of 2019, the 4th year of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, comparing with the achieved results and set goals, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that there are still many aspects to strive for, especially the implementation of extremely important targets: growth, budget revenue, and per capita income.

Therefore, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that Party committees at all levels need to thoroughly grasp and demonstrate the highest determination in leading the implementation of assigned tasks right from the beginning; at the same time, pay attention to directing the implementation of the 2019 administrative reform year. "Reform is not only the task of the government but also a very important task of Party committees," the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed.

Referring to the contest "Beautiful New Rural Communes 2018" in the whole province, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that the province will soon organize an award ceremony and propose to focus on promoting the winning units to motivate, encourage and spread the movement of building green - clean - beautiful new rural areas.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee also noted that Party committees at all levels continue to focus on improving the quality of the political system at the grassroots level, including communes, wards, and towns. In general, this year, the district level needs to review and re-evaluate, and where the political system is not strong, there will be solutions to overcome it, first of all, the solution regarding cadres.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh also suggested that Party committees at all levels pay attention to both implementing tasks for the 2015-2020 term and promptly preparing the content and spirit for Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 13th National Party Congress.
