Establishing many new development milestones

Reviewing the implementation of goals and targets for the 2020 - 2025 term shows that the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee proactively and promptly issued resolutions, programs and projects to implement resolutions of party congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 21st District Party Congress, associated with a fairly methodical implementation process, suitable to the actual conditions of the locality; as well as urging, inspecting, grasping progress, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles in implementing tasks.

Therefore, the implementation of socio-economic development tasks has achieved many positive results, notably in the first 3 years of the task, the average GRDP growth rate reached 8.85%, ranking 6th and 7th in the province and leading the Western districts; the average of 11 Western districts is 6.32%. Budget revenue has continuously exceeded the target, it is expected that in 2024, the budget revenue in the area will reach 155 billion VND, achieving the target of the Resolution of the District Party Congress.

Investment attraction has shown many improvements, with 28 investment projects approved, including 9 high-tech agricultural projects with many projects in operation. District-level competitiveness has been positively improved; 17/21 communes have reached the new rural finish line, fulfilling the Congress's targets.

The education and training sector is well taken care of, with the industry ranking it excellent for 9 consecutive years; excellent student exams are continuously at the top of the province; 59/66 schools meet national standards, a rate of 89.4%, approaching the congress target...

Party building work in terms of ideology, organization, cadres, party members, inspection, supervision, mass mobilization, internal affairs, and prevention and combat of corruption and negativity has always received attention and focused leadership and implementation; the leadership and direction methods always focus on efficiency, being close to the people, close to the grassroots, and improving operational efficiency.

The activities of the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations always focus on innovating the content and methods of operation to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

The Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee proposed that the province call for investment in the Tan Ky District Industrial Park, covering an area of ​​600 hectares (150 hectares by 2030); pay attention to supporting the district in adjusting the planning and adjusting the investment policy of the Western Urban Area of ​​Tan Ky town to attract investors to deploy in the area.

The Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee proposed that the province propose and propose the Ministry of Transport to invest in expanding and upgrading National Highway 48E through Tan Ky District from Minh Anh Garment Factory (Ky Tan Commune) to Nghia Hoan Commune; the province facilitates the allocation of resources to implement two key traffic projects: Nghia Hoan - Nghia Thai inter-commune road to Nghia Dong Commune with a total investment of about 165 billion VND and Tan An - Nghia Phuc inter-commune road with a total investment of about 86 billion VND; support the district with 7,000 tons of cement for communes to build rural traffic, serving people's travel and economic development; adjust the planning to expand Tan Ky town.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Ngoc Kim Nam spoke to acknowledge and re-evaluate the implementation of the district's goals and targets; at the same time, clearly stated the viewpoint on handling the recommendations and proposals of Tan Ky district; suggested and contributed ideas to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the leadership and direction of the Party Committee; State management of the government in a number of areas to implement the goals and targets of the term, as well as promote the strengths of the district.

Expecting a new breakthrough from Tan Ky

Concluding the meeting, based on the analysis of the achieved results, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts and congratulated the achievements that the district has achieved since the beginning of the 2020 - 2025 term up to now, despite the unfavorable context, with many difficulties and challenges.

In particular, the entire Tan Ky District Party Committee has built an atmosphere of solidarity and unity; thereby creating a spread, consensus and looking in the same direction to care for the local development.

Along with analyzing the advantages in the new period and new context, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy emphasized a number of key tasks and solutions in the coming time for Tan Ky district.

First of all, the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee needs to focus on reviewing the congress targets; from there, analyze the objective and subjective causes, especially with targets such as: growth rate of production value; economic structure; urbanization rate, low GRDP per capita; relatively high poverty rate; from there, find solutions to make efforts to complete the targets at the highest level.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee also proposed to re-evaluate the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially in the context that some cadres and party members lack effort in self-cultivation and training and violate the law.

Talking with the leaders of Tan Ky district, comrade Thai Thanh Quy also expressed his belief that the district will create new breakthroughs in the new term on the basis of continuing to maximize advantages, strengths and new favorable factors appearing.

First of all, Tan Ky is a land rich in historical traditions; a place where residents from many localities in the province and the whole country gather, considered the "hometown of all hometowns"; has some outstanding resources, has advantages in developing the processing industry, construction materials and textiles; the land has been a pioneer in many production movements.

That identity of the district needs to influence the policies, thoughts, ideas, and actions of each cadre, party member, and Tan Ky citizen to have ways to develop in the new stage of the district.

The new advantage of Tan Ky is that the district's connecting infrastructure is increasingly convenient when the extended N5 road (National Highway 7C) has connected to Ho Chi Minh road and in the near future the province will invest in bridges and roads connecting to National Highway 48E, which will open up development space for the district.

From the above analysis, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy set a task for Tan Ky to soon complete the work of establishing a truly high-quality District Planning with a long-term vision to submit to competent authorities for approval; in which it is necessary to pay attention to planning the exploitation of space on both sides of newly formed roads, and at the same time plan Tan Ky town into an urban area on both sides of the Con River.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee expressed concern that Tan Ky has all the factors and elements to develop tourism; however, currently on the tourism map of Western Nghe An, the district has not become a tourist destination.

Citing the example of Bon waterfall in Tan Hop commune, a beautiful landscape, highly appreciated by experts for its potential, but not many people know about it and have not been effectively exploited, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy suggested that the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee focus on leading and directing the tourism development with the viewpoint of not taking on too much, but "choosing what to do" through issuing resolutions to lead, direct, and focus resources on implementation to create destinations.

The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also noted that the district continues to focus on managing and using land and mineral resources reasonably and effectively; environmental protection, adaptation to climate change; continuing to promote administrative reform, improving the District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) to best serve the people and businesses; performing well the tasks of national defense and security; doing well the work of ethnic groups and religions.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy also requested Tan Ky district to effectively implement Directive No. 35, dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In particular, the Provincial Party Secretary noted the need to pay attention to the ideological work of cadres, party members and people; prepare to develop a personnel plan for the congress; closely and accurately assess the results of the 2020-2025 term; thereby putting forth viewpoints and development targets that are both striving and feasible in the new term.

The Provincial Party Secretary basically agreed with the recommendations of the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee such as: Agreeing on the policy of supporting the district with 10,000 tons of cement for communes to build rural traffic; adjusting the planning to expand Tan Ky town to build a central urban area of ​​the district to develop at par, meeting development needs;... thereby requesting the district to actively coordinate with the departments and branches of the province to concretize.
