Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh congratulates teachers on November 20

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 20, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province visited and congratulated a number of former teachers and lecturers in the province on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20, 2016.

Also attending were Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa - Principal of Vinh University; Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh visited and congratulated Associate Professor, Doctor, teacher Pham Manh Hung - former Vice Rector of Vinh University. Teacher Pham Manh Hung's family has many generations working in the education and training sector, actively contributing to the cause of educating people.

Next, the Provincial Party Secretary visited teacher and writer Nguyen The Quang, Yen Binh block, Hung Phuc ward, Vinh city. Teacher Quang once won the first prize for Excellent Literature Teacher of Nghe Tinh province. After retiring, he focused on writing, specializing in historical novels, exploring and promoting the beauty of famous people, especially famous people of Nghe An. He has published many novels and won many awards in the province and the Writers' Association.

The Provincial Party Secretary also visited the couple of teachers Le Duc Kiem and Tran Thi Bich Diep, Quang Trung ward, Vinh city, who are retired teachers at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

Both teachers are key officials and teachers of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training for many years; exemplary teachers in teaching as well as scientific research. Teacher Tran Thi Bich Diep won the first prize for excellent literature teacher in the North in 1974.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh visited, presented gifts and had a friendly chat with two teachers Le Duc Kiem and Tran Thi Bich Diep.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh and the delegation visited teacher Nguyen Thi Hong Thanh, Quang Trung ward, Vinh city. Ms. Thanh has been awarded excellent teacher at the city level for many years, excellent teacher at the provincial level for 5 years, and a second prize in the National Teaching Aids Competition, and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Since her retirement, teacher Nguyen Thi Hong Thanh, a member of the Vinh City Retired Teachers Association, has been an active and energetic member with many outstanding contributions to the movement to encourage learning and talent in Vinh City.

At the places he visited, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh congratulated and presented gifts to teachers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20; at the same time, he hoped that teachers would continue to promote their knowledge and experience for the cause of education and training, as well as for Nghe An province, to contribute to the development of their homeland and country.

Finally, the Provincial Party Secretary visited and congratulated Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thang - Deputy Head of Chemistry Department, Vinh University and his family. Prof. Thang has many highly appreciated scientific research works and was awarded the title of professor in 2016. He is the youngest professor to be awarded this year.
