(Baonghean.vn) - Allocating forces and staying close to fire spots to take measures to put out the fire and prevent it from breaking out again was the direction of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee right at the scene of the protective forest fire in Nam Kim commune (Nam Dan) on the afternoon of June 30.

Also participating in directing the forest fire extinguishing in Nam Kim commune (Nam Dan) were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

The forest in Nam Kim commune caught fire at 8:30 a.m. on June 30. The cause of the fire was determined to be a forest fire spreading from Son Tien commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province.
As soon as the fire broke out, local forces from Nam Kim commune and Nam Dan district began to put out the fire. However, due to the hot weather and strong winds, the fire-fighting work did not make much progress.

Present at the scene of the fire, provincial leaders directed Nam Dan district to mobilize all local forces to try to limit the spread of the fire.

At the scene, comrades Nguyen Xuan Son and Thai Thanh Quy requested the evacuation of all residents at the fire sites in Eo Vong, Thung Huyen and Khe Khe hamlets to avoid human casualties. At the same time, they directed the mobilization of military forces from Division 324 (Military Region 4), Regiment 764 (Provincial Military Command), Provincial Military School, Battalion 38 (General Staff) to support local forces in deploying firefighting work and opening firebreaks in a timely manner.
Forces must stay close to the fire spots after they have been extinguished, monitoring to avoid re-flare-up.

After listening to the forces report on the situation of controlling the forest fire as well as the fire extinguishing work, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh requested that the forces participating in the fire extinguishing work need to be allocated reasonably; in the face of the situation of fires breaking out in many places, there needs to be people on duty, closely following to grasp the situation, and promptly take timely measures.
Nam Dan district needs to closely monitor and grasp the situation. As soon as an incident occurs, it needs to be reported immediately to the Provincial People's Committee for a handling plan.

As of 5:00 p.m. on June 30, the forest fire in the three hamlets of Eo Vong, Thung Huyen and Khe Khe was basically under control.
