BASIC HIGH CREDIBILITY OF RECOMMENDED CANDIDATES

To conduct the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, Tan Ky has been implementing steps according to the law and instructions of the provincial level such as the steering committee, election committee (EC)...

Of which, at the district level, 12 Election Committees for the 19th term of the District People's Council, 2021-2026, with 132 members, have been established. At the commune level, 151 Election Committees have been established in 151 constituencies for the election of People's Council deputies of communes and towns, with each committee having from 7 to 9 members, the total number of members in 151 Election Committees is 1,230 people; 152 Election Teams have been established in 152 polling stations, with each team having from 11 to 21 members, the total number of members in 152 Election Teams is 1,811 people.

Up to now, after the second consultation conference, at the district level, the number of people recommended to run for district People's Council delegates compared to the number of elected delegates is: 84/35, 2.4 times higher.

The Fatherland Front Committee of 22/22 communes and towns in the district organized the second consultation conference well. After the conference, the number of candidates recommended compared to the number of elected delegates: 1,127/516 delegates, 2.18 times higher.

Comrade Bui Thanh Bao - Secretary of Tan Ky District Party Committee said: In general, the process of consultation and introduction of candidates for the district and commune People's Councils for the 2021-2026 term ensures order, procedures and objectivity.

Most of the candidates recommended for election have high trust ratings, no one has a trust rating below 50%, and there are no cases where a candidate recommended for election is recommended for consideration to be removed from the candidate list.

At the end of the first and second consultative conferences, the composition and number of candidates nominated to run for People's Councils at all levels were basically in accordance with regulations.

The total number of preliminary voters up to now that have been counted at polling stations in Tan Ky area is 109,928 voters.

Of which, voters are ethnic minorities: 21,886 people, accounting for 19.9%; voters are religious people: 3,280 people, accounting for 2.98%; voters working far away from the locality are 13,219 people, accounting for 12.02%.

“No later than April 14, 2021 (40 days before the election day), the People's Committees of communes and towns will post the voter lists at the headquarters of the People's Committees at the commune level and at public places in the voting areas, and at the same time widely announce the voter lists so that people can know and monitor and supervise,” said the Secretary of the Tan Ky District Party Committee.

In the coming time, Tan Ky will continue to focus on information and propaganda work; ensure security, order, social safety and health during the election... The third consultative conference for the election of district People's Council deputies is expected to be held on April 15, 2021; for the election of commune and town People's Council deputies, it is expected to be held on April 16, 2021.

EFFECTIVELY PROMOTING THE PARTY'S LEADERSHIP ROLE IN THE ELECTION

At the meeting, members of the working delegation, along with leaders of Tan Ky district and Ky Tan commune, discussed and clarified a number of issues related to election preparations.

Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission assessed that this election took place after the merger of hamlets, so it is necessary to anticipate situations; strengthen specific inspections, monitor and grasp the situation promptly to avoid the smallest mistakes.

Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board suggested that the district needs to thoroughly train members of the election team; ensure security and order.

Concluding the inspection, the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the election preparations in Tan Ky are being ensured according to schedule and regulations; ensuring the leadership of the Party. In addition, in addition to establishing organizations to carry out the election work, working groups have been established to deploy, supervise, urge and remind; and have a relatively firm grasp of the situation in the area.

However, there is not much time left until the election day, while there is still much work to be done related to not only one sector or one implementation unit, but also the synchronization of the entire political system, with the people as the main subject. Therefore, the election steering committees at all levels in Tan Ky must be very proactive, always with a high-demanding mindset, grasp the local situation, the implementation progress of agencies and localities; anticipate all situations and tasks.

In addition, the district needs to prepare well for the third round of consultation to finalize the list of candidates to ensure the prescribed structure, number, and composition; at the same time, ensuring democracy, objectivity, and correct orientation. Accordingly, in this work, the requirement is to carry out smoothly, do each step firmly, clearly demonstrating the leadership role of the Party.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee requested Tan Ky to continue to focus on handling the work of ensuring security, order and health so that the election can take place successfully with the viewpoint of not being subjective; paying attention to the work of inspection, supervision and professional training for the election team.

Focus on propaganda work so that people are fully aware of their rights and obligations as citizens to participate in the election at the highest rate, making election day a festival for all people; the election is exciting, safe, in accordance with the law, and effective.

Before working with representatives of the Steering Committee, the District Election Committee and representatives of the Steering Committee and the Election Committee of Ky Tan commune at the headquarters of Ky Tan commune, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy directly inspected the election preparation work and posted the voter list at two polling stations in Thanh Tan hamlet and Thanh Luu hamlet of Ky Tan commune.

Through inspection and discussion with members of the election teams in the hamlets, the Provincial Party Secretary noted the need to closely follow the election tasks, especially to stay close to the people to grasp the situation, anticipate the situation to perform the task well; to mobilize and propagate well so that the election day becomes a national festival; to check and accurately grasp the number of voters arriving 24 hours before the election time.
