(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to voters in Nghia Dan about the work of preventing and fighting corruption, citing cases that have been strictly handled, Party Central Committee Secretary Phan Dinh Trac affirmed that he will continue to do it more strictly, the furnace is still burning, fresh wood burns, wet wood burns.

On the morning of June 26, in Nghia Binh commune, National Assembly delegates including Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption; Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Secretary of Nghia Dan District Party Committee and Mr. Moong Van Tinh - official of Que Phong District Youth Union met with voters of Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan town, Nghia Dan district after the 7th session of the 14th National Assembly.

After hearing information about the results of the 7th session of the 14th National Assembly, voters reflected many contents to the delegates.

Mr. Le Dinh Chau - a voter in Nghia Dan town expressed his concern about the complicated situation of drug trafficking and requested to continue to fight drug crimes more strongly.

Voter Chau also expressed his high agreement with the recent strong anti-corruption work. However, according to this voter, to meet the people's aspirations, especially the work of recovering assets from corruption, needs to be carried out more strongly.

As for voter Luong Dinh Lan, he asked the delegates to convey the idea that people with health insurance should be allowed to access provincial-level medical examination and treatment. Because currently, at the district level, there are still certain limitations in medical examination and treatment for the people.

Voter Ngo Thi Loan suggested that the National Assembly should consider regulating the school construction fund as before because the social mobilization has not achieved high results.

Also at the conference, voters reflected on many issues related to investment in upgrading traffic routes, implementing policies for people with meritorious services; having a guarantee regime for block and hamlet cadres to work with peace of mind; considering drug use as a criminal offense...

Referring to the work of fighting corruption, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac affirmed the principle: Cadres who are disciplined by the Party does not mean excluding criminal handling. Violations of Party discipline will be disciplined according to Party regulations. Violations of State regulations will be handled according to State regulations. Violations that are serious enough to be subject to criminal handling must be handled criminally. Party discipline must come first, and create conditions and favorable conditions for the investigation agency to further handle the case.

In the cases and incidents monitored by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, 54 cases have been tried at first instance, with 676 defendants, including 10 people with 11 death sentences, one person involved in 2 cases with 2 death sentences; 21 people with 22 life sentences, 9 people imprisoned for 30 years; 19 people imprisoned for 20 years; 574 people imprisoned from 12 months to under 20 years and only 41 people punished by other forms such as: non-custodial reform, warning...

Citing the strict handling of corruption cases, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission affirmed that it will continue to be strict, the furnace is still burning, fresh wood also burns, wet wood also burns, not just dry wood.

Also at the conference, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac answered other petitions from voters. On this occasion, the National Assembly delegation also presented 20 gifts to policy households and poor households in Nghia Binh commune and Nghia Dan town.
