Husband douses house in gasoline and burns it down after being scolded by his wife for being drunk
Angry because his wife scolded him after coming home drunk, Huan poured gasoline and set fire to the house, causing severe burns to his two children.
On December 20, Da Bac District Police (Hoa Binh Province) said they were detaining Bui Van Huan (born in 1982, residing in Ranh Hamlet, Toan Son Commune, Da Bac District) to investigate and clarify the act of burning down his house with gasoline, causing his two children to be severely burned.

According to initial investigation, at around 8:00 p.m. on December 17, Huan came home from a wedding drinking party and was scolded by his wife, Ms. D.TV. After that, the couple had an argument.
In a fit of anger, Huan locked the main door and poured gasoline on the house to burn it down. Seeing the fire raging, Ms. V panicked and called her children to run outside to save themselves.
Huan's two daughters, BTT (born 2003) and BTC (born 2007), were sleeping soundly and could not run away in time, so they were severely burned. The fire damaged some household items.
When the fire was discovered, neighbors rushed to put it out and took the two children to the hospital for emergency treatment. According to local residents, Huan's wife is currently pregnant with their fourth child and the family's circumstances are difficult. During their time together, there were frequent conflicts between the two.
The incident is under further investigation.
