(Baonghean.vn) - In recent times, the Provincial Military Command has promoted activities to help and support poor communes and disadvantaged households... Thereby, contributing to the good implementation of political tasks; strengthening the military-civilian relationship, building a solid people's heart position, and maintaining stability in the area.

In 2012, following the assignment of Nghe An province, the Provincial Military Command officially helped the poor border commune of Nam Giai, Que Phong district. Over the past 10 years, the Provincial Military Command has had many practical and effective support activities such as helping Nam Giai commune build traffic works, schools, medical stations, irrigation works, cultural houses; giving gifts, supporting breeding animals for policy households, poor households... Every year, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command supports Nam Giai commune with 50-60 tons of cement and mobilizes a lot of manpower and working days for construction. Mr. Quang Van Thuyen - Secretary of Mo village Party Cell, Nam Giai commune said: Thanks to the support of the Military Command, Mo village has a nearly 2km long concrete road connecting the main road to the production area. The road is 3m wide, traders can drive their cars into the production area to purchase agricultural and forestry products from the people. There are 92 households benefiting from this road... From 01 breeding cow initially supported by the Provincial Military Command, up to now, the family of Mr. Lu Minh Thuong - Ms. Lo Thi Hien has developed into a herd of 08 cows (3 cows have been sold by the family). With the help of the Provincial Military Command, the family has been given more strength and motivation to develop livestock farming, grow cassava, acacia, cinnamon... and have the conditions to fully educate 2 children. Every year, the Provincial Military Command also sends military doctors to examine and provide free medicine to the people of Nam Giai commune; on holidays and Tet, it gives gifts to families with meritorious services, families with active soldiers, young people joining the army, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances. According to Mr. Sam Van Thanh - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Nam Giai commune: In 2023 alone, the Provincial Military Command donated 70 tons of cement, many cultural, physical training and sports facilities... worth 250 million VND. The total value of the works and gifts that the Provincial Military Command has helped and supported Nam Giai commune in recent years is over 8 billion VND (excluding support for human resources and working days).
