(Baonghean.vn) - Immediately after the meeting of the Provincial People's Committee with the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue, the Provincial Military Command deployed a plan to prevent and combat storm No. 4.

On the afternoon of August 28, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to deploy tasks to prevent and combat storm No. 4. Attending the conference were Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command. Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command chaired the meeting.

According to the forecast of the Central Hydrometeorological Forecasting Agency, storm No. 4 with the strongest wind near the storm center at level 8 (60 - 75 km/h), gusting to level 10, the radius of strong wind at level 6, gusting to level 8 or higher is about 100 km from the storm center, and is expected to make landfall in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa on Friday evening (August 30).

At the conference, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command agreed to deploy: Agencies and units in the Provincial Military Command strictly maintain the duty and combat duty regime, regularly monitor and update the situation and direction of the storm, pay attention to closely monitor and grasp the situation, prepare vehicles and forces to mobilize when required.

Staff units advise Party committees and authorities to take the highest response measures to possible situations; proactively inspect lakes, dams, rivers, and key points, and prepare mobile plans to help people prevent and combat storms and floods when necessary.
