(Baonghean.vn) - On August 1, to promptly support the locality in isolating the dengue fever outbreak and treating the disease, the Nghe An Border Guard Command mobilized a medical team, doctors, an ambulance, and medicine and chemicals to Dien Ngoc commune.

According to the latest report, the dengue fever outbreak in Dien Ngoc commune alone has 38 people infected, of which 25 have been discharged from the hospital, and 13 are currently being treated at medical facilities.

The main cause of the epidemic is poor environmental sanitation in the locality, unhygienic living conditions, and subjective disease prevention work.

This time, Nghe An Border Guard has donated a number of supportive medicines, chemicals, and mosquito sprays to the commune health station. In addition, 5 more military doctors have been added to support the commune health station in treating dengue fever patients and educating people about hygiene, disease prevention, and ways to eliminate sources of infection as well as treatment measures when sick./.
