Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces travel history of 17th Corona virus patient
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has notified countries whose citizens were on the same flight as the 17th Covid-19 patient in Vietnam to take action.
Regarding the case of a female patient who tested positive for Covid-19 recently discovered in Hanoi on March 6, after traveling to several European countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has notified the French, Italian and British Embassies in Hanoi; directed the Vietnamese Embassies in Paris, London and Rome to discuss with relevant authorities of the host country about the patient's travel history and temporary residence address while in the UK.
On the morning of March 7, the Chemical Corps (Ministry of National Defense) sprayed disinfectants on Truc Bach Street, Hanoi and some neighboring streets after recording a person infected with Covid-19. |
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also notified countries whose citizens were on the same flight to take appropriate measures and make maximum efforts to prevent the spread in the community.
Vietnam will continue and regularly share information and coordinate with countries, international organizations and relevant partners in preventing and combating acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of coronavirus (Covid-19)./.
