Re-appointment of Deputy Minister of Education and Training

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc.

The reappointment term is from September 22, 2022.

Currently, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc is in charge of the following areas: Science, technology and environment; international cooperation in education and training; drafting legal documents and disseminating laws; national defense and security education; digital transformation and application of information technology in assigned fields.

In addition, he is in charge of the following units: Department of Science, Technology and Environment; Department of International Cooperation; Department of Legal Affairs; Department of National Defense and Security Education; SEAMEO Regional Training Center in Vietnam; SEAMEO Regional Center for Lifelong Learning in Vietnam; Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics; Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences; in charge of the Central Highlands and Southeast provinces.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc has held many positions: Researcher of the Development Research Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Economics; Deputy Head of the Development Research Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Economics; Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economics of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Head of the Faculty of Economics of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Vice Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Party Secretary, Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University. On September 22, 2017, he was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
