Appointment of personnel to ministries, branches and localities in the country last week

1. Ministry of Public Security

On March 1, at Vinh Long Provincial Police, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presented the decision to appoint Colonel Nguyen Van Hieu - Deputy Director to hold the position of Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police to replace Major General Le Van Ut pending retirement according to regulations.

2. Ministry of Construction

On March 1 in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Dinh Toan, on behalf of the Minister of Construction, presented Decision No. 226/QD-BXD dated March 1, 2018 of the Minister of Construction appointing Ms. Tran Thu Hang - Director, Deputy Director of the Planning Department to hold the position of Director of the Department of Architectural Planning, from March 1, 2018.

3. Ministry of Education and Training

On February 28, at the February 2018 meeting of the Ministry of Education and Training, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha presented Decision No. 504/QD-BGDDT appointing Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam - Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Education and Times Newspaper to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper.

Along with Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, at the meeting, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha also presented decisions on appointing officials to a number of other units of the Ministry of Education and Training.

4. Ministry of Finance

On February 28, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung presented Decision No. 216/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance dated February 21, 2018 assigning Mr. Pham Duc Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel to hold the position of Acting Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel;

At the same time, Decision No. 225/QD-BTC dated February 21, 2018 was awarded to temporarily appoint Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Lan - Head of Personnel Organization Department 2 to hold the position of Deputy Head of Personnel Organization Department.

Hand over the decision to transfer and assign the position of Acting General Director of the State Treasury (KBNN) to Mr. Ta Anh Tuan from March 1, 2018 until an official decision is made to appoint the General Director of the KBNN.

5. State Bank

On February 27, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Doan Thai Son presented Decision No. 315/QD-NHNN dated February 27, 2018 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam appointing Mr. Nguyen Phi Lan - Deputy Director, in charge of the Banking System Safety Supervision Department to hold the position of Director of the Banking System Safety Supervision Department under the Banking Inspection and Supervision Agency - State Bank of Vietnam from March 1, 2018.

TAnnouncement of Decision No. 303/QD-NHNN dated February 27, 2018 of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam appointing Mr. Bui Van Hai - Head of General Department, Department of Banking System Safety Supervision to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Banking System Safety Supervision under the Banking Inspection and Supervision Agency - State Bank of Vietnam from March 1, 2018.

6. Ministry of Industry and Trade

Minister Tran Tuan Anh presented the decision and congratulated Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong.

On February 27, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh presented Decision No. 188/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister assigned and appointed Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Members, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Chemical Group. Before being elected as Chairman of Vinachem, Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong was Director of the Department of Science and Technology since November 2014.

7. Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 487/NQ-UBTVQH14 approving the proposal to appoint the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2018-2021 term.

Specifically, approve Mr. Pham Vinh Quang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Indonesia concurrently serving in the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste and the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

Approved Mr. Ta Van Thong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to New Zealand concurrently to the Republic of Fiji and the Independent State of Samoa.

8. Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs

On February 26, Associate Professor Dr. Le Quan, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Dr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of the General Department of Vocational Education, presented Decision No. 139/QD-LDTBXH dated February 15, 2018 of the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the transfer and appointment of Dr. Vu Xuan Hung, Director of the Institute of Vocational Education Sciences, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Formal Training, General Department of Vocational Education from February 15, 2018.

9. Hanoi City

On March 2, the People's Council of Quoc Oai district, term XIX (2016-2021), held its eighth session (extraordinary session) to complete the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee. At the session, 100% of the delegates of the District People's Council approved the election of Mr. Do Huy Chien, Deputy Secretary of the Quoc Oai District Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Quoc Oai District People's Committee for the term 2016-2021.

10. Kon Tum Province

On March 1, Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa presented Decision No. 104/QD-UBND dated February 28 of the Provincial People's Committee to Mr. Nguyen Van Bay. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay ceased to hold the position of Director of the Department of Justice from March 1, 2018 to be seconded to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Lawyers Association.

At the same time, Decision No. 105/QD-UBND was awarded on the acceptance and appointment of Mr. Pham Dinh Thanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board to hold the position of Director of the Department of Justice for a period of 5 years, starting from March 1, 2018.

11. Phu Tho Province

On March 1, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province announced Decision No. 469/QD-UBND dated February 27, 2018 of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province on appointing Mr. Do Thanh - Head of Secondary Education Department, Department of Education and Training, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho from March 1, 2018. The term of office is 5 years.

12. Khanh Hoa Province

On the afternoon of March 1, in Nha Trang, the General Department of Taxation announced the decision to appoint Mr. Pham Hoai Trung - Head of Nha Trang City Tax Department and Mr. Tran Minh Chien - Head of Tax Inspection Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department to hold the position of Deputy Head of Khanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department.

13. Lam Dong Province

On the afternoon of February 28, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Doan Van Viet handed over the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep, former Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee, to the position of Director of Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade from March 1, 2018. The term of appointment is 5 years.

Handing over the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Huynh Ngoc Hai - former Director of Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade to hold the position of Director of Lam Dong Department of Natural Resources and Environment from March 1, 2018, with a term of 5 years.

Presenting the decision of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc - former Director of Lam Dong Department of Natural Resources and Environment to join the District Party Executive Committee, the District Party Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of Duc Trong District Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

Handing over the decision to receive and appoint Mr. Pham Thanh Quan - former Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Duc Trong district to hold the position of Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Lam Dong province from March 1, 2018, the appointment term is 5 years.

14. Lang Son Province

In Decision No. 246/QD-TTg, dated February 27, 2018, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc approved the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term for Mr. Nguyen Long Hai - Member of the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.

Previously, on the afternoon of January 25, at the 7th Session (Extraordinary Session), the delegates of the People's Council of Lang Son province elected Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2016 - 2021.

15. Thua Thien Hue Province

Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Van Cao has just signed Decision No. 500/QD-UBND dated February 27, 2018 appointing Mr. Le Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Transport. The term of office is from March 1, 2018 to February 28, 2023.

16. Son La Province

February 28,Mr. Nguyen Tri Tue - Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court presented Decision No. 168/QD-TCCB dated February 12, 2018 of the Supreme People's Court appointing Mr. Quan Huu Chien - Intermediate Judge, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Quynh Nhai district to hold the position of Deputy Chief Justice of the People's Court of Son La province, term of 5 years from March 1, 2018.

17. Hoa Binh Province

On February 27, at the Hoa Binh Provincial Tax Department, authorized by the General Director of the General Department of Taxation, the Hoa Binh Provincial Tax Department held a conference to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Pham Van Phong - Head of the Luong Son District Tax Department as Deputy Director of the Hoa Binh Provincial Tax Department.

18. Tay Ninh Province

On February 27, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Tan presented Decision No. 495/QD-UBND dated February 21, 2018 of the Provincial People's Committee to transfer and appoint Mr. Kieu Cong Minh - Head of Tay Ninh Economic Zone Management Board to work at the Department of Planning and Investment, holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department. The term of office is 5 years, starting from March 1, 2018.

Awarding Decision No. 496/QD-UBND on assigning the task of being in charge of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Deputy Head of the Management Board from March 1, 2018.

19. Ben Tre Province

On the afternoon of February 27, Mr. Cao Van Trong - Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee handed over the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Ngan - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, to hold the position of Chairman and Director of Ben Tre Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, from March 1, 2018 until the retirement age as prescribed.
