At the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang praised officers and soldiers of agencies and units throughout the army for upholding their sense of responsibility, completing their on-duty tasks well, being ready to fight, contributing to stabilizing political security and social order and safety in the localities during the first days of Tet holiday; the situation in special areas, border lines and sea lines is stable.
Notably, units throughout the army have well organized the "Military-Civilian Tet" activities, visiting and giving gifts to the poor, policy families, families with officers and soldiers on duty on the border and remote islands; carrying out the task of setting off fireworks in 62/63 provinces and cities to serve the people, ensuring absolute safety...
The Chief of the General Staff also requested agencies and units to continue to perform well their duties and be ready to fight during the remaining Tet holiday.

At Nghe An province, Colonel Tran Van Hung said that before Tet, implementing the Provincial Party Committee's policy of "Tet for the poor - Ky Hoi year 2019", Nghe An Provincial Military Command collected 584 million VND, of which officers and soldiers donated 425 million VND; Women's Union and Youth Union donated 159 million VND to implement the program "Warm Tet in the Western region of Nghe An" and "Green Chung cake for the poor".

According to Colonel Hung, the agencies and units have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the order to be on duty, ready to fight, closely coordinated with the Provincial Police and Provincial Border Guard to contribute to ensuring good security and order in the first days of Tet holiday, the western border and the sea are both stable.
