Additional resources to build standard cultural institutions
(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Culture needs to study plans to supplement resources and support localities to complete the goal of building standard cultural institutions - that is the note of comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council at the working session with the Department of Culture and Sports.

On the morning of August 6, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Delegation inspected and evaluated the implementation of Resolution No. 05 - NQ/TU, dated December 14, 2016 of the Provincial Party Committee on building cultural people and cultural families in Nghe An to meet the requirements of integration and development at the Department of Culture and Sports.
Attending the working session, on the side of the Inspection Delegation were comrades Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Luong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee; Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and members representing provincial departments, branches and organizations.
On the side of the Department of Culture and Sports, there were comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department; comrades in the leadership board and representatives of the Department's departments and offices.
After nearly 3 years of implementation, the Department of Culture and Sports has advised and directed the achievement of 7 set targets. Among them are outstanding targets such as: Cultural families reaching 84.44% (target 83-85%); cultural villages, hamlets, and blocks 71.2% (exceeding the set target by 62-65%); people who regularly practice sports reaching 33% (target 33-35%)...

However, there are targets that have not been met, such as communes, wards and towns with cultural institutions meeting standards reaching 57% (target 60-65%); the number of communes recognized as meeting new rural cultural standards is 19.5% (target 50%); wards and towns meeting urban civilized standards is 10.2% (target 30-35%); the rate of sports families is 22.7% (target 23-25%).
The reason is that the large area, including 242 communes, 2,562 mountainous villages and hamlets, has limited living conditions and complex terrain, making it difficult to plan and build cultural and sports facilities.

At the working session, members of the Inspection Team said that there are still many issues that need attention in implementing Resolution 05 such as: Building mechanisms, policies and organizations to honor cultural titles; clearly demonstrating criteria for standards of people and cultural families of Nghe An; promoting the preservation of national cultural identity; paying attention to building cultural institutions in industrial parks...
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council noted the solutions to achieve the goals set out in Resolution 05. First of all, the target of building a standard cultural institution needs to study the plan to supplement resources and support localities to promote the implementation of the Resolution.
The Department of Culture continues to advise on raising awareness and responsibility of the political system, reviewing documents for reasonable amendments and supplements, and coordinating the implementation of supervision work.
