Military Region 4 Command inspects storm prevention work No. 4

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 24 and 25, 2017, the Military Region 4 Command inspected preparations to respond to storm No. 4 at units and localities in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

Inspecting the preparation work at units and conducting field surveys in key localities at risk of being affected by storm No. 4 and floods in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, the Military Region 4 Command requested units to strictly maintain the duty and command regime, ensure communication, and have 100% of the military on duty at the unit; proactively monitor and grasp the situation; develop, adjust and supplement plans, options and directives on disaster prevention, control and search and rescue.

Ensure the safety of the barracks, warehouses, and construction works in the unit and prepare well the forces, facilities, food, and provisions to be ready to mobilize to help people respond to and overcome the consequences caused by storms, coordinate with forces to organize search and rescue, and overcome the consequences of possible floods.

The Military Command of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces and the Military Commands of districts must carefully survey key areas at risk of severe damage due to storms and floods in the area to advise local Party committees and authorities, closely coordinate with departments and organizations in the work of evacuating people, notifying and calling for ships, planning evacuation areas, and evacuating people from dangerous and flooded areas, in order to minimize damage to people and property caused by storm No. 4./.
