Military Region 4 Command inspects response to storm No. 7 in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Preparing to respond to storm No. 7, on the afternoon of October 13, the working delegation of the Military Region 4 Command led by Major General Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 inspected the organization and implementation of storm and flood prevention of the Military Command of Nghe An province.
Participating in the inspection delegation were: Major General Phan Van Sy - Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4; Colonel Duong Minh Hien - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command.
To prepare for storm number 7,Nghe An Provincial Military Command– permanent agencyprovincial search and rescueactively coordinated with functional agencies to advise local Party committees and authorities to promote the "4 on-the-spot" motto; inspected and reviewed dike lines, downstream lakes and dams; coastal lines, riverside, low-lying and flooded areas; areas at risk of flash floods and landslides; areas that could be isolated... to deploy response measures; advised and directed to do a good job of propaganda work among the people about storm No. 7.

In addition, the Provincial Military Command directed agencies and units to strictly maintain on-duty regimes; organize good preparations of facilities and logistics for forces participating in storm prevention and control. As of this afternoon, Nghe An province has called on ships and boats to return to safe shelters.

After the inspection, Major General Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of the Military Region requested the Nghe An Military Command to direct units to continue to strictly maintain the on-duty regime according to regulations, closely monitor the storm's developments; prepare well the communication, logistics, and technical systems and closely inspect key areas. Advise the Provincial Flood and Storm Prevention Command to direct localities to do a good job of information and propaganda on storm warnings on radio and mobile information, closely monitor key areas of flooding,landslide riskto have a plan to evacuate people from dangerous areas.
