Countryside children's football Van Duc and Xuan Manh do not rest on their laurels
(Baonghean.vn) - After the two youth football teams of Yen Thanh district won the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Championship 2018, in the past 3 summer months, all over the fields in Yen Thanh district, the qualifying round and final round of the Children's Football Tournament organized by the district took place enthusiastically.
This is a traditional tournament organized annually by Yen Thanh district, aiming to promote the movement of "Physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho"; creating a useful playground to practice skills and health for children during the summer vacation.

Also from this playground, over the past 10 years, Yen Thanh district has provided many talented young players for the Song Lam Nghe An football training center, especially now there are over 30 Yen Thanh players on the staff of Song Lam Nghe An's youth teams.
In addition to the two players Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh who are shining in the colors of SLNA Club and the Vietnam U23 team, recently there have been many new and promising faces, such as: Truong Van Tuyen, Nguyen Thai Bao (belonging to SLNA U13); Vuong Van Tung, Hoang Minh Hoi, Ho Long Vu (SLNA U11); Nguyen Van Bach, Phan Xuan Dai, Nguyen Van Bay, Chu Van Tuan (SLNA U15) who have contributed to the victory in the 2018 national championships, bringing glory to their home province.
In the final round of this year’s Children’s Football Tournament in Yen Thanh district, 16 excellent teams from the group stages participated; taking place from August 16-27, with 31 dramatic and exciting matches, attracting a large number of people to watch and cheer.
Overall, this year's season is considered to have high professional quality. Many communes have invested in developing children's football and there are many impressive players.
Results: First prize went to the Town Children's Team; Second prize went to Tan Thanh commune; Third prize went to Xuan Thanh and Cong Thanh communes.

Through the tournament, the district's Department of Culture and Sports has discovered and selected excellent players for the district team, and at the same time has a plan to train and practice talented children to provide human resources for the Song Lam Nghe An football training center.
