Mr. Nguyen Viet Thuong - Director of Quynh Luu Irrigation Enterprise said: In addition to providing irrigation water for agricultural land, the main canals also provide raw water for 4 clean water plants in the district, including Quynh Thach, Quynh Hau, Quynh Yen and Quynh Luu Water Plant, so the heavy pollution also affects the quality of the input water. To reduce waste on these irrigation canal systems, according to Mr. Thuong, people in the upstream area need to raise awareness of household waste treatment; at the same time, local authorities need to have solutions to detect and handle acts of littering indiscriminately into river and irrigation systems.
