Drug trafficking, 18-year-old male sentenced to 15 years in prison
(Baonghean.vn) - With the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking", after a comprehensive review of the case, Hoang Xuan Son (residing in Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the People's Court.
On September 24, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendant Hoang Xuan Son (born 2000), residing in Thanh Duc commune, Thanh Chuong district, prosecuted by the People's Procuracy of Nghe An province for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

At around 10am on May 3, 2018, Hoang Xuan Son and some friends rode their motorbikes from home to Tuong Duong district to play. When they arrived at Doc Kem area, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district, Son told his friends to wait for him on the street.
Son walked into the forest and met an ethnic man who bought 1 heroin stick for 18 million VND and 190 ecstasy pills for 5 million VND. On the way home with the drugs, when he reached Khe Bo commune, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, Son was arrested by the police.
At the trial, Hoang Xuan Son confessed to all his crimes and asked the jury to consider reducing his sentence so he could soon start a new life.
