Press agencies in the province continue to have many articles mentioning and emphasizing that innovation, reorganization of the apparatus, and improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the leadership apparatus are urgent needs for the goal of development creation, pointing out issues that need attention and proposing solutions for effective implementation.

At the conference, representatives of press and radio agencies frankly raised issues of concern. Many opinions said that it is necessary to closely monitor and urge the implementation of recommendations and proposals raised by the press at regular meetings, and at the same time request the Propaganda Department to collect the recommendations mentioned and report back to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Representatives of some press agencies also reported that reporters and collaborators of newspapers and magazines, when performing their duties, have taken advantage of their profession to "force" establishments to advertise, even showing signs of harassment and causing trouble, greatly affecting the reputation and honor of genuine journalists. Therefore, it is recommended that press agencies, heads of representative offices and resident reporters in the province strengthen the management, inspection and supervision of the activities of reporters, especially the team of collaborators.

Several other issues were also mentioned at the conference, such as: thoroughly resolving complaints from citizens; strictly managing the scope of operations of hybrid vehicles and motorbike taxis; building civilized urban areas; creating favorable conditions for reporters to work at major events; and rectifying the attitudes of security and protection staff at some agencies, which have caused difficulties for citizens as well as reporters and journalists when they come to work.

These were many issues that had been reported by the press many times but had not been resolved by the relevant departments and agencies; some cases were civil disputes but were still exploited by some newspapers in too much detail, causing negative effects on public opinion.

Emphasizing the content of propaganda orientation in November, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested newspapers and radio stations to widely propagate the Central Resolutions (term XII), the results after 5 years of implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for developing Nghe An province until 2020.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department suggested that press agencies, in addition to reflecting the negative side of life, also need to honor the good, good deeds, and spread typical examples.

In order to orient good information for cadres, party members and people, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested that press and radio agencies proactively build news lines to strongly fight against "toxic news, bad news" that distorts the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and undermines national unity.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also proposed to open special pages and columns to promote major events and holidays such as: Vietnam National United Front Founding Day and National Solidarity Day; Vietnam Teachers' Day; Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. Newspapers and radio stations should devote time and open special pages to continue responding to the 2018 press awards, especially the 3rd Golden Hammer and Sickle Award launched by the Central Organizing Committee.
