People's Artist Tran Hanh was born in 1929 in Hanoi. He worked at the Hanoi Drama Theater from graduation until his retirement in 1989. On stage, artist Tran Hanh had many excellent roles in plays such as: "Lam Son Tu Nghia", "Tien Tuyen Goi", "Gia Kon", "Am Muu Va Tinh Yeu".

Not only famous on stage, People's Artist Tran Hanh is associated with many film and television works such as "The vase of the previous life", "Retired general", "Fairy tale of 17 years old", "Women's tears", "The book of life", "Forgive me", "The broken alley"...

He was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 1984, but it was not until 2019 that he was awarded the title of People's Artist.
