Social isolation of 4 villages in Nghi Loc because of a couple infected with Covid-19

On June 26, the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent document on establishing quarantine and social distancing areas to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decided to establish a social isolation area according to Directive 16 for 4 villages of Nghi Dien commune (Nghi Loc), including Yen Thinh, Phuong Son, Toan Thang and Quang Trung. The remaining villages in the commune are socially distanced according to Directive 15.

Previously, on the morning of June 25, Nghi Loc recorded its first case of Covid-19 infection. The patient is a 50-year-old woman residing in Phuong Son village, Nghi Dien commune. This person is a small trader, trading at Vinh wholesale market. After testing the F1s, the patient's husband was also confirmed to be infected with Covid-19.

According to Mr. Vo Van Thang - Director of Nghi Loc District Medical Center, up to now, the unit has traced more than 60 people in the F1 category of the couple to send them to centralized quarantine and take samples for testing. The tracing is still underway.

In addition, Nghi Loc district has also screened more than 400 people related to the Vinh wholesale market outbreak. These people will be quarantined at home after being tested.
