Nghe An Electricity staff participate in blood donation, responding to 'EVN Pink Week'
(Baonghean.vn) - The 7th "EVN Red Week" launched by Nghe An Electricity Company attracted 230 officers and employees to participate, contributing 233 units of blood.
With the message "Thousands of hearts, one heart", responding to the 7th "EVN Pink Week", on the morning of December 11, Nghe An Power Company coordinated with Nghe An Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize a voluntary blood donation program.
The 7th "EVN Pink Week" program organized by Nghe An Electricity Company is also a meaningful and practical activity of EVN to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity Industry's tradition day (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2021) and respond to Customer Appreciation Month 2021.

December is also the time when blood reserves for patients are scarce. Responding to the call of Vietnam Electricity Group, Nghe An Electricity Company has called on all officers, employees and workers of the group to join hands to help patients have more opportunities to live or prolong their lives with their own precious blood and their own sincere hearts.

Through this practical and meaningful program, the volunteer spirit of the staff and workers of the Electricity industry is increasingly widespread. What is special is that there are staff and workers who have donated blood voluntarily from 5 to 10 times, some have donated blood 3 times in 1 year and this time they continue to participate in the program with the hope that "each drop of blood given saves a life".

The voluntary blood donation program "EVN Pink Week" launched by EVN nationwide since 2015 has truly been a festival of compassion and sharing for each officer and employee of the Vietnam Electricity industry towards the community.

In particular, the 7th "EVN Pink Week" uses the graphics in EVN's new identity - the star strip "One light source - Million beliefs", combined with the image of dandelions flying in the wind - the symbol of "Giving is forever", spreading the spirit and belief of EVN officers and employees joining hands to support the community to overcome the epidemic.
In addition to the 7th "EVN Red Week" humanitarian blood donation activity, the company also implemented many practical activities during the "Customer Gratitude Month" in 2021, typically activities joining hands with the whole country to prevent and fight the epidemic such as: repairing and installing new household electricity systems for poor households, hospitals, medical facilities in regions, areas, and localities directly affected by the epidemic; ensuring electricity supply for mobile medical stations serving epidemic prevention and control.

Free meter installation and transformer station cleaning for businesses directly affected by the epidemicCovid-19, especially businesses and production facilities in areas that must implement social distancing; encourage customers to install the customer service application (App) and participate in online payment; give masks to customers to strengthen epidemic prevention and control.
In addition, the company also actively responded to the program "Waves and computers for children", participating in contributing and donating tablets to poor students to serve online learning...

The event attracted more than 230 volunteers who are officers, employees, and workers of Nghe An Power Company and units of Nghe An Power Group located in Nghe An province, with the desire to donate drops of blood to promptly serve the emergency and treatment of patients.

Up to now, the humanitarian blood donation program "EVN Red Week" has been continuously organized by Nghe An Power Company for the past 7 years, in which, the company's staff and workers have contributed 593 units of blood. The 7th "EVN Red Week" alone had more than 230 volunteers participating, contributing 233 units of blood.
