Dr. Hoang Duc Huy - Head of the Interdisciplinary Department, Vinh International Hospital recommends: "To limit this incident from happening, instead of using removable dentures, the elderly should use fixed dental implant methods such as porcelain bridges or implants. When accidentally swallowing dentures, do not try to stick your throat or swallow to get rid of the foreign object, but go immediately to a reputable medical facility. During eating and drinking, you need to be careful to avoid choking on foreign objects, which can affect digestion and sometimes be life-threatening."
After removing the dentures from his esophagus, Mr. PB That's health has stabilized, the damage to his esophagus has healed, and he can eat and drink normally again./.
