Do Luong district Party Committee and government directly dialogue with workers

Attending the conference were the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the District People's Committee, representatives of departments and offices, and more than 300 union members representing more than 11,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the district. Comrade Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Comrade Hoang Van Hiep - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee co-chaired the conference. Representatives of the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor attended and directed the conference.

Before that, to prepare for the conference,Do Luong District Labor Federationhas compiled 101 opinions, recommendations, and legitimate aspirations of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers from grassroots unions. From this compilation, relevant authorities, departments, and branches have responded satisfactorily in writing.

Throughlive chat,The conference promoted the role and responsibility of trade union organizations, the democratic rights of union members and workers, listened to recommendations and proposals from cadres, workers, civil servants and workers; clarified issues that union members and workers did not understand, were unclear about, or did not agree with; received and directed the timely resolution of outstanding and urgent issues of localities, agencies and units.

Taking place in a lively and open atmosphere, in addition to the previous 101 questions, the conference recorded 22 more opinions from union members and workers in the fields of health, education, public administration, businesses and workers. Most of the questions and recommendations revolved around prominent groups of issues such as policies and regimes; recruitment targets, job placement; infrastructure construction, facilities... and were answered directly by representatives of competent agencies. Some issues will be answered fully in writing.

Concluding the conference, comrade Phung Thanh Vinh affirmed the success of the dialogue conference, acknowledging the frank and accurate opinions of the delegates.union member, workerparticipate. “Only by having direct dialogues like this can we fully understand the difficulties of workers. After the pandemic, the difficulties will be greater, the shortcomings will be more numerous, and the government needs to promptly grasp them to share and gradually solve the problems. Many of these problems need to be solved comprehensively and thoroughly, and we will continue to make recommendations to higher levels.”

He also assigned the relevant authorities to thoroughly resolve the problems raised by civil servants, public employees and workers. After the conference, union members and workers will receive a full written response to all the issues raised at the dialogue.
