A student from Nghe An province graduated with excellent results from a foreign military medical university.
(Baonghean.vn) - With his efforts to overcome difficulties, the "tea picking boy" from Nhut land (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) Nguyen Dinh Thanh has made new achievements during his studies abroad: graduating as valedictorian and being honored with a Gold Medal.
This July, Student Nguyen Dinh Thanh from Thanh Thuy Commune (Thanh Chuong) received a certificate from the International Training Department, Shanghai Naval Medical University (China) recognizing his completion of the Clinical Doctor course with excellent academic performance, which isvaledictorianoutput, awarded the Gold Medal to the student with the highest academic achievement upon graduation from the course.

Originally an excellent student at Dang Thuc Hua High School - Thanh Chuong, 7 years ago, in the 2014 university entrance exam, candidate Nguyen Dinh Thanh was the valedictorian of block B, military system of the Military Medical Academy.
After 1 year of studying atMilitary Medical Academy, Valedictorian Nguyen Dinh Thanh was honored to be selected by the Academy to study at Shanghai Naval Medical University. Here, Thanh participated in a 6-year clinical doctor course. The course had nearly 500 students, including 27 international students.
After the initial confusion when he first arrived, thanks to his hard work in studying, increasing communication and learning, especially improving his foreign language skills, Thanh quickly integrated into the new environment.
During his studies in China, the student from Nghe An not only made efforts in studying and researching but also enthusiastically participated in cultural, sports, and volunteer movements of Vietnamese students studying there.

Promoting the spirit of studiousness and good study, he was the valedictorian of the Military Medical Academy, at the Shanghai Naval Medical University, for 4 consecutive years, Thanh achieved excellent student results, received the First Class scholarship and won many other awards such as: Third prize in the Medical Chemistry Experimental Skills Competition; Third prize in the Clinical Diagnosis Skills Competition...
Thanh was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing for Vietnamese students with excellent academic achievements.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in China, Thanh returned home after completing his course. During the historic floods in the Central region in 2020, Thanh represented the Vietnamese Student Association in Shanghai to deliver gifts to flood victims in Quang Binh, donated by the Vietnamese Student Association in Shanghai.
Student Nguyen Dinh Thanh said: With the achievement of being the valedictorian of the clinical doctor course, he was accepted to study, research, and train for a Master of Medicine at two famous schools in China: Tongji University (top 3 universities in Shanghai) and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (top 2 best schools in China for Oriental medicine).
"Right now, I'm considering, maybe I'll go to school in Guangzhou" - Thanh shared.

It is known that student Nguyen Dinh Thanh's family in the countryside has difficult circumstances. When Thanh was in high school, his parents worked as tea farmers and saved all household expenses for their son's education.
When Thanh left for China to study, Pham Thi Toan (born in 1966) - Thanh's mother - suffered from heart disease. Her health became increasingly poor, and all the heavy work in the family was shouldered by Thanh's father.
In recent days, when Thanh received the news of his excellent graduation from the International Training Department, Shanghai Naval Medical University, his father, Nguyen Dinh Hoan, passed away after 2 months of fighting a serious illness.
