(Baonghean.vn) - Quynh Luu District Police arrested Va Xong Po, residing in Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, for illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs, seizing 2 heroin cakes and more than 12,000 pink synthetic drug pills.
Previously, on December 18, 2020, Quynh Luu District Police arrested Tran Khac Hoa (born in 1986), residing in Van Thang 1 block, Nguyen Binh ward, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province and Ho Van Phai (born in 1981), residing in hamlet 12, Quynh Thach commune, Quynh Luu district for the act ofillegal possession of drugs.

Conducting an expanded investigation, identifying this as a large-scale drug trafficking and transportation ring, Quynh Luu District Police established a special project, focusing on fighting and clarifying this ring. During the investigation, the Special Project Board determined that this was a ring that illegally traded and transported drugs from Que Phong District to supply drug retail outlets and other organizations.addictin Quynh Luu district.
Quynh Luu District Police discovered that a local subject had signs of colluding with subjects in the border area of Que Phong District to transport drugs downstream for consumption. The District Police have deployed synchronous professional measures to fight and clarify the subjects in this network. The investigation process encountered many difficulties because the subjects used many sophisticated tricks, frequently changing the method and location of delivery and receipt of goods.
With the approval of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, the Task Force deployed two ambush teams in Quynh Chau commune, Quynh Luu district and one intercept team in Que Phong district.
After receiving information that the subject moved to Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district, to ensure safety and avoid the subject changing methods, the task force decided tosolve the case, arrested the subject right in Que Phong district.

Accordingly, at 7:00 p.m. on December 22, 2020, in the area of National Highway 48 in Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district, Quynh Luu district police caught red-handed Va Xong Po (born in 1969), residing in Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, for illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs with a total weight of 2.02 kg of drugs.
Currently, the District Police Investigation Agency is expanding the investigation of the case.
