Big fire in the old town, people panic

A fierce fire from a house caused Bat Dan street to be covered in a thick black smoke. The air became stifling, making it difficult for people to breathe.

At around 3:20 p.m. on February 15, a large fire broke out at a 3-story house, a dental clinic, at 40 Bat Dan Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).

According to local residents, the fire broke out on the second floor of the house. As soon as the fire was discovered, residents shouted for everyone inside the house to run outside and called the Fire Police.

Black smoke from the fire filled the whole neighborhood.

Immediately after receiving the information, the fire police force mobilized officers and soldiers with vehicles to be present, blocked off the scene to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding houses and at the same time deployed fire extinguishing work.

As of 4:15 a.m., authorities were still trying to contain the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation./.
