(Baonghean.vn) - Spraying disinfectant is an important condition for students to return to school as recommended by the Ministry of Health. However, currently in many localities in Nghe An, the rate of schools being sprayed with disinfectant is still very low.

To prevent the epidemic caused by the Corona virus (Covid-19), schools in Nghe An have proactively used all resources to spray disinfectants. As of this afternoon (February 14), according to the Department of Education and Training, only 8 localities in the province have completed spraying disinfectants and sterilization in schools. These are Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong and Hoang Mai town. Of which, some schools have carried out the second spraying.

The spraying rate of the whole province is 64% with 1,034/1,622 schools. Including 395/586 kindergartens, 322/528 primary schools, 243/395 secondary schools, 61/92 high schools and 13/21 vocational education and training centers.

Some localities have quite high spraying rates such as Dien Chau (79%), Thai Hoa town (94%).

The remaining spraying rates are still low, such as Anh Son (56%), Con Cuong (46%), Ky Son (34%), Nghi Loc (31%), Do Luong (24%), Quy Hop, Nghia Dan (17%), Tan Ky (14%), Tuong Duong (7%), Quy Chau (5%) and Que Phong (4%).

Regarding spraying and disinfecting schools, this morning, the provincial Center for Disease Control distributed chemicals to prevent Covid-19 to units in the province, including schools under 21 districts, cities and universities, colleges and secondary schools located in the province.

As soon as the medicine is available, localities will spray disinfectant and try to complete it as early as Sunday, February 16.

Regarding the return of students to school, the leader of the Department of Education and Training also said: The immediate task of localities is to spray disinfectants in all schools. Currently, Nghe An students are still out of school and when there is a schedule to return to school, the Department will make an official announcement.
