On the afternoon of March 16, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced details of 47 clusters for the first round of capacity assessment exams in 2023. Of which, Ho Chi Minh City is the cluster with the most testing locations.

Accordingly, the announcement said that 47 exam clusters are spread across 21 provinces and cities nationwide, including: Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ben Tre, Bac Lieu, An Giang, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Lam Dong, Tien Giang, Dong Thap and Vinh Long.

Ho Chi Minh City is the testing cluster with the most testing locations with 16 locations. Next is Dong Nai with 4 testing locations, Binh Duong has 3 testing locations. Most provinces and cities have 1-2 testing locations. Specifically as follows:

At the end of the first round of registration, Ho Chi Minh City National University recorded nearly 91,500 registered candidates, nearly 10,000 more than in 2022.

According to the plan, candidates will take the first round of exams on March 26, and the results will be announced on April 4. After that, the registration portal of Ho Chi Minh City National University will continue to open for candidates taking the second round of exams on May 28.

The Ho Chi Minh City National University's assessment test is built using the same approach as popular assessment tests in the world such as the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) of the US and the TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment) test of the UK.

The exam structure consists of 16 pages, 120 multiple choice questions, 150 minutes to complete, calculated on a scale of 1,200 points. The three test sections include: Language use; Mathematics, logical thinking and data analysis; Problem solving.

In which, the maximum score for the Language section is 400 points; the Mathematics, Logical Thinking and Data Analysis section is 300 points; the Problem Solving section is 500 points.

In 2023, nearly 90 universities and colleges nationwide will use the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam for admission./.
