The Syrian government has handed over evidence of militants' use of the toxic gas iperite to representatives of the international mission of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

The news was announced by Samer Abbas, the official representative of the State of Syria for the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, on Sunday. "We have presented all the documents to the mission, they have examined them and accepted them. The mission will visit Syria again to collect samples for further analysis," he said.
Here we are talking about the evidence collected by experts of the Russian Ministry of Defense on October 31, 2016 in the residential area of Umm-Marret Haouch in the province of Afrin Aleppo: 240 mm mortar shells filled with toxic substances, the representative of the Syrian specialized agency further explained.
