COMPLETE ALL MILITARY AND NATIONAL DEFENSE TASKS

In 2021, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command focused on leadership and direction; at the same time, closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities of 6 provinces in the area to resolutely implement and organize the comprehensive completion of military and defense tasks.

In particular, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command focused on leading and directing agencies and units to thoroughly grasp, study and seriously implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; Resolution of the 11th Military Party Congress; Resolutions and Conclusions of the Politburo on military and defense strategies... and directive documents on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Along with that, coordinate in directing, managing, building, and improving the ability to perform tasks of the militia and self-defense forces, and reserve forces; direct the improvement of the quality of military recruitment and military enrollment work... The work of building discipline and managing discipline is regularly led, directed, and maintained by Party committees and commanders at all levels; coordinate with Party committees, local authorities, and other forces to well prepare and ensure absolute safety for major political, cultural, and social targets and events of the country such as: the 13th National Party Congress, election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, term 2021 - 2026; effectively carry out the work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains and defense diplomacy;...

The armed forces of Military Region 4 continue to focus on leadership, improve overall quality and combat strength; strictly maintain combat readiness, natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue; grasp the situation, strictly manage airspace, sea, border, inland and cyberspace; continue to adjust the force organization in the direction of "refined, compact, strong".

Faced with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Party Committee and the Military Region Command have closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to thoroughly grasp the spirit of "fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy" and the motto of "4 on-site". Officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 4 are always at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic, and are highly appreciated by local Party committees, authorities and people.

In 2021, the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense highly appreciated the results of the implementation of political tasks, Party building, armed forces building, military and defense tasks and other tasks in the area of ​​the Party Committee and Military Region 4 Command; contributing significantly to maintaining political stability and creating conditions for socio-economic development.

In the coming time, forecasting complicated developments in the world and the region, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested the armed forces of Military Region 4 to continue to strengthen their grasp of the situation, research, evaluate, and forecast complex situations that may occur, especially in the sea, islands, and borders; promptly detect all plots and sabotage actions of hostile and reactionary forces, to proactively implement good response plans, prevent, repel, and firmly protect every inch of land, sea, and airspace of the Fatherland; and not let passivity and surprises occur.

From there, proactively advise local Party committees and authorities to lead, direct, and effectively implement national defense tasks, build and firmly consolidate all-people national defense, and all-people national defense posture associated with people's security.

Along with that, continue to build a comprehensively strong armed force of the Military Region with the motto "elite, compact, strong, fast and highly combat-ready"; continue to build a strong and widespread militia and self-defense force, ready to complete its tasks well.
