National Assembly Chairman meets with Embassy staff and Vietnamese community in Hungary

This is an opportunity for the high-ranking National Assembly delegation to meet, exchange and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese voters.

Continuing her official visit to Hungary, on the afternoon of April 9 (local time), National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met with officials from the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Hungary. The National Assembly Chairwoman compared this meeting to a voter meeting. The opinions of the people were reflected and forwarded to relevant domestic agencies for reception, consideration, response and resolution.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan listened to Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Thanh Tuan report on some main features of the work of the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary; representatives of the leaders of the Vietnamese community, overseas Vietnamese, and representatives of the young generation of Vietnamese people in Hungary shared about the community life situation as well as expressed their concern about the socio-economic situation in the country, wishing to connect and contribute to the development of Vietnam...

Announcing the purpose of the official visit to Hungary, the National Assembly Chairman said that the visit aims to promote and deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Hungary in general and the Hungarian National Assembly in particular; as well as new cooperation prospects in bilateral relations and inter-regional and international cooperation.

At the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman praised the efforts of the leaders and all staff of the Embassy in overcoming difficulties and hardships in life away from home and homeland to successfully complete the work assigned by the Party and State; at the same time, he affirmed that the Party, State and National Assembly always pay attention, support and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to operate in the most favorable way to contribute to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country.

Acknowledging the opinions and sharing of many overseas Vietnamese, the National Assembly Chairman assessed that their opinions and sharing were very enthusiastic, along with practical recommendations that demonstrated their thoughts, aspirations, and concerns for their homeland.

The National Assembly Chairman said that the official visit to Hungary is also an opportunity for the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to meet, exchange and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese voters. In that spirit, their opinions will be reflected and forwarded to relevant domestic agencies for consideration, response and resolution.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Party and State's policy of great national unity always creates favorable conditions for the overseas Vietnamese community to stabilize their lives, integrate into the host society, help the community maintain and promote national cultural identity, and turn towards the homeland.

Appreciating the overseas Vietnamese, officials and students in Hungary for always turning towards the Fatherland, actively working, studying, complying with the laws of the host country and making many contributions to building the homeland, the National Assembly Chairman was pleased to see that the Vietnamese community in Hungary with about 5,000 people is a united community, with an increasingly stable life and good integration into the local society. The activities of the people towards the homeland have clearly shown the solidarity of the Vietnamese community in Hungary.

Emphasizing that each Vietnamese person in the host country is a people's ambassador, the National Assembly Chairman hopes that the Vietnamese community will always comply with the laws of the host country, truly be an important image and bridge contributing to strengthening and consolidating the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary./.
