At the congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged and highly praised the achievements that Nghe An Student Association has achieved in recent times, thanks to which the student movement of the province has become increasingly diverse, creative, and the content has gradually become closer to the needs of students.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the frank assessments in the political report, and noted a number of points such as: political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education for students, grasping the situation, orienting students' thoughts and public opinion, especially on sensitive issues, need to be focused on and improved.

Activities to support students in studying, starting a business, and learning foreign languages ​​have not met expectations. Students' social skills after graduation are still limited. Some students have not identified the right motivation for studying, lack training, deviate from their lifestyle, and are easily enticed and violate the law.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy suggested that the delegates and the congress will continue to focus on, carefully analyze the causes, and find effective solutions to overcome these limitations in the coming time, actively contributing with the Party Committee, government and people of the whole province to complete the goals of the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

At the conference, emphasizing and suggesting a number of additional issues, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Student Association to discuss and more clearly define the directions, tasks, and solutions for the Association's work and student movement in the 2018-2023 term.

The Student Association needs to actively innovate and improve the effectiveness of studying political theory, learning about the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws for students. Especially studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. "This is not only a task but also a sentiment and a sacred responsibility of Nghe An youth and students towards Uncle Ho" - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy emphasized. Students also need to be proactive in grasping, forecasting and orienting students' thoughts; raising students' vigilance against the plots of enticing, dividing, and sabotaging the state by hostile forces; and building school civilization.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Provincial Student Association must be an extension of the schools to encourage, support and help students achieve the best results in their studies, equip them with life skills, work skills and improve their foreign language proficiency so that each student after graduation will add high-quality human resources to the province.

In addition to studying, comrade Thai Thanh Quy suggested that the Association continue to seek solutions to promote and develop playgrounds for students that are both active and highly academic; pay attention to helping students in difficult circumstances and disadvantaged students; expand the solidarity front to gather students; promote the existing volunteer spirit among students, participate in solving pressing issues of the community. Focus on praising and honoring exemplary students in studying and training.

For students, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy hopes that the young generation will know how to cherish and take advantage of the best years of their lives, always have aspirations and the will to rise up.
