Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspects election preparation work in Nam Dan district

Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation directly inspected the voting areas at the cultural houses of Hoang Tru hamlet and Lien Minh hamlet. Up to this point, the voting areas have been decorated, arranged with tables, chairs, and signs.

According to the report of the Nam Dan District Election Committee, implementing the steps for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, Nam Dan district has completed the posting of the list of 110,361 voters at 142 polling stations and the headquarters of the People's Committees of communes and towns.

After the 3rd Consultative Conference, the District Fatherland Front Committee agreed to establish an official list of 58 candidates for the District People's Council and 824 candidates for the People's Council at the commune and town levels.

By the end of May 3, 2021, all 142/142 teams had completed posting the official list and brief biographies of candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term at the polling stations, ensuring compliance with regulations.

By the end of May 6, 2021, the district had organized 7 meetings between candidates for district People's Council deputies and voters, and 17 meetings between candidates for commune People's Council deputies and voters to campaign for the election. Conferences between voters and candidates for National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies were also carefully prepared, ensuring the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

In addition, the work of reviewing and preparing material means and documents for the election was carefully prepared by the Election Committees at 2 levels of the district. At the same time, propaganda work was strengthened and security, order, social safety and health during the election were ensured.

Concluding the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the thorough and thoughtful preparation of the Election Committee of Nam Dan district as well as Kim Lien commune.

Considering that there is not much time left until the election day, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Election Committee of Nam Dan district and Kim Lien commune to develop scenarios to respond to possible situations. In particular, it is necessary to ensure the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic is safe and effective when voters go to the polls.

In addition, the district and commune Election Committees need to continue to review and finalize the voter lists, especially to propagate and mobilize voters in special areas to fully participate in the election. Continue to pay attention to training work, so that members of the Election Committees at 2 levels must be truly proficient, have a firm grasp of their tasks, and know their lessons, so that the election takes place successfully, truly a festival of the people.
