Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee directed to ensure that students in flood-affected areas can go to school on the opening day.
Ensuring learning conditions for students in flood-affected areas is a requirement that the Provincial People's Committee sets for the Nghe An Education sector as the new school year 2025 - 2026 is approaching.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Document No. 8056/UBND - NN dated August 8, 2025 on focusing on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, stabilizing people's lives, and ensuring learning conditions for students before the new school year.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the contents must be completed by August 2025 to ensure that students return to normal schooling as soon as the new school year begins.
Regarding the recovery of storm and flood consequences in schools, recently, after the launch of the Department of Education and Training, many schools in lowland districts have directly gone to highland schools to support cleaning classrooms and giving support to schools to purchase school facilities and equipment.
On August 2 and 8,Department of Education and Trainingalso organized 2 working groups to go directly to schools in the communes of Tuong Duong, Tam Hop, Muong Xen, Bac Ly, My Ly... to share with schools, teachers and students in flood areas. On this occasion, the group also gave nearly 2 billion VND in support to schools and teachers whose houses were damaged or swept away by floods.

During this trip, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh said that the Government has decided to support Nghe An province with 300 billion VND to overcome the consequences of storms and floods. Immediately after that, at the meeting on August 7 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the province also agreed on a plan to allocate 50 billion VND to support the repair and construction of new school facilities and purchase teaching equipment.
On the Department's side, after receiving this funding source, will be distributed to localities and schools that suffered damage to promptly repair and purchase equipment, ensuring adequate basic facilities for teaching and learning when entering the new school year.

The Director of the Department also requested that during the implementation process, schools should clearly list the damage, propose detailed needs for equipment, clothes, and textbooks so that the industry can provide timely support. No student should be forced to drop out of school due to lack of resources.
