Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, on August 8, the Internal Political Security Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) coordinated with Mobifone Nghe An, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Nghe An Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company to organize gift giving, medical examination and treatment and medicine distribution for people in My Ly commune - a locality that suffered heavy losses in the recent historic flood.

Xang Tren Village, My Ly Commune, is located along the Nam Non River with 170 households. In the flood, 39 houses were swept away, 28 houses were submerged and severely damaged. To enter the village, the working group had to travel by motorboat, carrying rice and necessities to each household. Here, the Internal Political Security Department and Mobifone Nghe An presented 50 gifts (each gift included 1 million VND, 10kg of rice, clothes, and medicine), with a total value of more than 230 million VND.

Sharing the difficulties with teachers and students of My Ly 2 Primary School, Nghe An Books and School Equipment Joint Stock Company donated all textbooks and school supplies to more than 200 students; supported 2 schools in Yen Hoa and Xieng Tam villages with a total value of 60 million VND. The Internal Political Security Department also gave 5 million VND to the school and My Ly Commune Police - the unit that just lost its headquarters in the flood.
