Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong attended the APEC Summit 2017

(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of APEC 2017 Summit Week, this morning (November 7) at Ariyana Convention Center (Da Nang), the Vietnam Business Summit took place under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

With the theme “Vietnam – A Reliable Business Partner”, the conference was also attended by leaders of Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities, representatives of prestigious international organizations, scholars and 2,000 business leaders from the country, the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were the attendance of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong, Director of the Investment Promotion and Support Center Le Tien Tri and representatives of a number of typical enterprises in the province.

The conference focused on six main topics: Smart agriculture; financial services; healthcare and education; infrastructure; tourism and special economic zones; small and medium enterprises; startups and innovation.

Within the framework of the Conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a dialogue with business leaders from 21 economies in the Asia-Pacific region. The Prime Minister also emphasized Vietnam's current advantages, such as having a large and young population, increasing per capita income, and being among the world's leading countries in mobile phone usage....

According to the Prime Minister, in the coming time, in addition to continuing to perfect institutions, Vietnam will promote the transformation of its economic structure from agriculture to tourism and services, while strengthening its integration into the global market. The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam's hosting of APEC for the second time is a testament to the dynamism of our country.

The Vietnam Business Summit is the largest international cooperation forum that will be held annually in Vietnam, starting this year.

This is an initiative of Vietnam and an important international event organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) within the framework of the activities of the APEC 2017 High-Level Week.
