Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee: 'Will replicate the autonomous model in hospitals'

On the morning of February 24, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and congratulated the medical staff at a number of medical facilities in Dien Chau district on the occasion of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2017). Also present were representatives of the Department of Health, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, and Provincial Social Insurance. |
Coming to congratulate and talk with the staff and medical staff of Dien Chau District General Hospital, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged the hospital's efforts in management, administrative reform, improving professional qualifications, spirit and service attitude towards patients, in order to better meet the people's needs for medical examination and treatment.
Sharing the difficulties related to facilities and hospital overload, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed about the province's policy of piloting autonomy in a number of hospitals; on that basis, an assessment will be conducted and lessons learned will be drawn to continue to replicate in other hospitals.
Therefore, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that Dien Chau General Hospital should also proactively prepare all conditions to implement this autonomy most effectively; as well as continue to innovate management work, administrative reform, implement socialization, and apply advanced and modern techniques to serve the people.

Delighted with the success of Dien Van Commune Health Station - a unit that maintains 10 national standards on health in phase II, a heroic unit in the renovation period, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong hopes that the unit will focus on directing the implementation of the family doctor model associated with the health station effectively. This is a new model aiming at the goal of managing and providing health care to the people.
This model will help the health station grasp the health status of each member in each household through the records and data created, thereby proactively consulting and taking care of people's health; at the same time, building disease models in each residential area and locality to proactively advise the Party Committee and government to lead and direct in a realistic manner, contributing to protecting and taking care of people's health.
