Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and congratulated Vietnamese Doctors' Day at a number of units

At the Department of Health, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung sent to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the health sector sincere regards and best wishes on the occasion of the traditional day of the sector.

Sharing the sacrifices and contributions of the provincial health sector, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated, acknowledged and commended the results, efforts and contributions of the health sector in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, as well as in performing other tasks of the sector; recognized by the Party Committee, the government and especially the people; thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

In the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that cadres, civil servants and employees of the provincial health sector continue to promote the achieved results and better perform the tasks of the sector.

In particular, the sector needs to continue advising the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to deploy measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in accordance with the actual conditions of the epidemic in the area; focus on promoting vaccination for more comprehensive vaccine coverage.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung also requested the sector to continue to pay attention to the treatment of both seriously ill patients who must be treated at medical facilities and patients treated at home; at the same time, prepare conditions in terms of facilities, equipment, medical supplies, and medicines for people infected with Covid-19; ensure safety for medical examination and treatment facilities in the context of both preventing and fighting the epidemic and performing professional tasks.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the industry to continue to pay attention to training human resources; policies and regimes for cadres, employees and workers to ensure that the industry's workforce can confidently perform their tasks.

Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation visited and congratulated the leaders, staff, and doctors of Nghe An General Hospital. This is a medical facility with a history of 104 years (September 18, 1918 - September 18, 2022). It is currently the final hospital for general medical examination and treatment in Nghe An province; at the same time, it is the final hospital for medical examination and treatment in the fields of Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology in the North Central region and is building a roadmap to become a special hospital by 2025.

The hospital has 60 departments, rooms, and centers, including 8 functional rooms, 9 paraclinical departments, 36 clinical departments, 7 centers, and 1,728 employees, including 304 cadres with post-graduate degrees. The hospital's Party Committee is a large Party Committee with 44 Party cells and 439 Party members.

The hospital's assigned beds in 2022 are 1,800. Currently, the hospital is assigned the additional task of being in charge of Field Hospital No. 8 with a scale of 1,200 beds and the province's Intensive Care Center No. 1 with a scale of over 100 beds.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the unit's performance; this is truly a reliable and most important address in the province, especially in the treatment of Covid-19 patients; and is a core unit participating in field hospitals, supporting localities in recent times;... In the difficult context due to the epidemic, the unit continues to deploy and maintain good medical examination and treatment activities.

Agreeing with the hospital's upcoming tasks, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that the unit will continue to perform its tasks well, worthy of its role as the province's key unit in taking care of people's health. The head of the Provincial People's Committee also shared the difficulties that the hospital is facing, at the same time acknowledged the recommendations of the unit's leaders and said that in the coming time, he will work with the leaders of the Department of Health, Nghe An General Hospital and a number of related departments and branches to discuss solutions.

"Hopefully, the hospital will continue to promote its traditions and achievements to accompany the province in effectively implementing the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic and performing the task of examining, treating and taking care of people's health in the best way", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shared and believed that Nghe An General Friendship Hospital will successfully implement the roadmap to become a special-class hospital by 2025.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also visited and congratulated the leaders, staff, and doctors of Nghe An Eye Hospital. This is a Grade II specialized hospital, the last line of examination and treatment of eye diseases in the province, with the predecessor being Nghe An Eye Center.

After 10 years of establishment and development, the hospital currently has the function and task of advising the health sector to develop strategies for developing specialties in the field of eye examination and treatment in the whole province; directly implementing emergency care, examination and treatment of eye diseases; training medical staff; and scientific research in medicine.

The hospital is also a practical training facility for Vinh Medical University; directs lower levels in expertise and techniques; participates in disease prevention work; and cooperates internationally. Currently, the hospital has 6 departments, 4 functional departments with a total of 88 civil servants, public employees and workers currently working at the hospital.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated and commended the results achieved by the unit in the past time; at the same time, he requested the leadership team and doctors to promote the achieved results and well implement the tasks in the coming time; in which, he noted that the implementation of medical examination and treatment work should be in accordance with the regulations on prevention and control of Covid-19; continue to apply more advanced techniques and expertise to help improve the medical examination and treatment work for people.
