"The decision to convert the land area in the industrial cluster to residential land was for the wrong purpose and was not within the authority," said Mr. Dung.

According to Mr. Dung, the above violations and errors were the fault of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Xuyen district and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Lang commune. "We must affirm that. The 6 representatives of the households here also did not have any comments reflecting signs of embezzlement, corruption, or taking advantage of positions and powers to commit wrongdoings for personal gain or group interests," said Mr. Dung.
