On November 3, a working delegation led by Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung met with citizens to resolve long-standing complaints related to compensation and site clearance policies for Thanh Lang Industrial Park (Thanh Lang town, Binh Xuyen, Vinh Phuc).

After the discussion, Minister Mai Tien Dung affirmed that this is a complicated matter that has lasted for more than ten years. However, according to the Minister, there are still some problems related to Thanh Lang Industrial Park. First of all, it was implemented since 2005 but has not been put into operation yet, leaving an area of ​​more than 92 thousand square meters unused, causing waste of the country's resources and a mistake towards the people.

Second, during the implementation of the procedures, there were some mistakes such as not sending the land recovery decision to each household. In addition, there was the issuance of an official dispatch that was not in accordance with the province's direction, causing people to not fully understand. "The decision to convert the land area in the industrial park to residential land was for the wrong purpose and not within the authority," said Mr. Dung.

According to Mr. Dung, the above violations and errors are the fault of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Xuyen district and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Lang commune. "We must affirm that. The 6 representatives of the households here also have no comments reflecting signs of embezzlement, corruption, taking advantage of positions and powers to do wrong for personal gain or group interests," said Mr. Dung.

According to Minister Dung, the working session with Thanh Lang citizens was very transparent, very public, no one hid anything, no one defended anyone, no cover-up, no ambiguity. According to Mr. Dung, with the mistakes and shortcomings of the district leaders, of the town leaders, he requested the provincial authorities to direct the inspection and clarification.

“Whatever the violation or shortcomings are, we will consider disciplinary action. What is not yet disciplinary, we will learn from it. What is wrong, we will apologize to the people. Apologize properly, it is okay. I think if the commune chairman did something wrong, the provincial chairman must apologize because it is related to the work of managing cadres,” said Minister Dung.

The Minister and Head of the Government Office suggested that the existing problems should be promptly overcome to put the Thanh Lang craft village industrial cluster into operation in 2016.
