On the afternoon of October 22, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Loc commune, Nam Dan district, said that the landslide that occurred on October 9 damaged 4 households here, threatening the safety of people's lives, including the household of Mr. Tran Van Ha, whose house collapsed about 5m.2Back wall. Currently, Mr. Ha is moving to live with his younger brother next door.
Some surrounding households had landslides that swept into their houses and yards.
Currently, 13 days after the landslide, local authorities and the family have not been able to fix the problem because the weather is still rainy, the soil is soft, and there may be more landslides if the soil inside the house is removed.
Mr. Hung also said that the commune has proposed in writing to the District Relief Committee to support Mr. Tran Van Ha's family with 3 million to fix the problem. And when the weather is sunny and the soil is dry, the commune will work with the family to build a multi-level service road in the landslide area to free up the soil in the house, at the same time, it is also a solution to prevent further landslides not only for Mr. Ha's house but also for the surrounding households.
