The cause of the unusual fish deaths on the Con River has not been determined.

On April 5, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment had the results of analyzing water samples taken from Con River through Tan Ky district at the time.unusual fish deaths.

According to Document No. 1722/STNMT-BVMT of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment on the results of water environment monitoring onCon Riversent to the Provincial People's Committee on April 5, 2021, stating: Immediately after the phenomenon of dead fish on the Con River passing through Tan Ky district, the Environmental Monitoring and Engineering Center (Department of Natural Resources and Environment) took 4 surface water samples at 4 different locations (around the area of ​​unusual fish deaths).

After analysis, it was shown that all 4 surface water samples with the above parameters were within the allowable limits.

From that result, compared with the archived data of 03 surface water monitoring points in the annual periodic network monitoring network on Con River (the section flowing through Thai Hoa town to Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky district), basically the water quality at 04 sampling points did not fluctuate much compared to the current state of the water source before the phenomenon appeared.dead fish.

Meanwhile, according to the test results of dead fish samples taken from the Con River section through Tan Long commune (Tan Ky) on March 19 by the Veterinary Department of Region 3, the dead fish samples were negative for the virus causing the disease.

Thus, the cause of the unusual fish deaths on the Con River has not yet been determined. Therefore, Tan Ky residents hope that the authorities will soon find the cause and have a solution to protect the environment.
